About
Pete Lindemere
Thirty years playing, twenty years teaching
Pete has played bass since 1988 – four, five and six string, fretted and fretless, plus double bass – with over 30 years of gigs and sessions across rock, funk, jazz, fusion and reggae, from EMI Studios to backing Patricia Quinn of Rocky Horror fame.
He's a fully qualified teacher too: after Bass-Tech Acton and the Musician's Institute, Pete took his music degree (B.Mus Hons) at Goldsmiths, University of London – studying double bass with the L.S.O.'s Dominic Black – then stayed on for his PGCE, earning qualified teacher status in 2004 and teaching music in schools up to GCSE and A level.
Since 2008 he has taught and recorded from his own purpose-built studio – these days alongside one-to-one students online and around Nantyglo in South Wales. Read Pete's full story.
